I rarely adjust the swing angle and find the fine-tuning of airflow manageable without needing a remote control.

Closer Look

On the front side of the SSD, a prominent sticker featuring the Acer logo immediately catches the eye. The use of graphene, known for its exceptional thermal conductivity, ensures that the SSD maintains optimal temperatures even under heavy workloads. This clever integration of functionality with aesthetics highlights the attention to detail in the SSD’s design. On the reverse side, the drive features an additional sticker that provides essential details such as serial numbers and the SSD’s code name, adding a layer of traceability and authenticity.

The SSD conforms to the widely adopted M.2 2280 form factor, making it compatible with a vast range of modern devices, from laptops to desktops. This versatility ensures that the FA200 can be easily integrated into most systems without any physical compatibility issues. Additionally, Acer has included a free digital version of Acronis software, available for download from the Acer Storage website. This layout ensures optimal performance and stability, while the single-sided configuration simplifies the drive’s thermal management.

This SSD is equipped with a MaxioTech MAP1602A – F3C controller and a 32-bit ISA ARM design featuring four Cortex® R5 cores. It is manufactured using TSMC’s 12nm process. This setup is on par with controllers from well-known brands like Phison and Silicon Motion. Notably, the MAP1602A – F3C is a DRAM-less controller, relying on Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology to manage metadata tables. It supports four communication channels with a bus speed of up to 2400 MT/s, setting it apart from other Gen4 DRAM-less controllers that typically cap at 1600 MT/s. Additionally, it can support up to 16 dies through “Chip enable” commands, allowing for direct physical connections to the NAND dies, which themselves operate at 2400 MT/s.

Every high-end SSD that seeks to deliver consistently high performance requires a buffer to store its mapping tables, such as the Flash Translation Layer or Look-up Table. This buffer is crucial for enhancing random performance and responsiveness. However, since this SSD uses a DRAM-less controller, it lacks a dedicated DRAM cache. To compensate, it allocates 40 MiB of the system’s RAM to store the metadata table, which helps speed up access and maintain efficient operation.

The 2TB SSD features four NAND flash chips, identified as “BWN0AQF1B1HCAD,” which are rebranded by BIWIN. Biwin, the official OEM, is responsible for manufacturing the PCBs used in SSDs for both Acer and HP. These NAND chips, produced by the Chinese manufacturer YMTC, are X3-6070 QLC models with 1Tb (128GB) dies. They incorporate 232 layers of data storage and 253 gates, resulting in an array efficiency of 91.7%. Specifically, of the 253 layers present in the SSD, 232 are utilized for storage, contributing to this high efficiency.

In this SSD configuration, each NAND flash chip comprises four 1Tb dies, delivering a total density of 512GB per chip and aggregating to 2TB across all chips. These NANDs interface with the controller through a maximum bus speed of 2400 MT/s, enhancing overall performance. Each die is structured with four planes, which facilitates increased parallelism and improved performance during access operations. At the time of analysis, these new QLC dies from YMTC are among the fastest QLC dies available.

Benchmark Test

Next, we will conduct a thorough performance analysis of the Acer FA200 SSD using both benchmarking software and real-world data transfer scenarios. The tests will be carried out on a system equipped with an Intel® Core™ i7-13700K processor and an MSI MPG Z690 FORCE WIFI DDR5 motherboard. To evaluate the SSD’s performance, we will utilize several industry-standard benchmarking tools.

In this test, the Netac Acer FA200 2TB SSD will be installed in the first M.2 slot of the motherboard. This slot is directly connected to the processor and supports PCIe4.0×4 transmission technology, which can ensure that its performance will not be affected by other hardware. Let’s go to CPU-Z to check the platform-related information for the T-FORCE XTREEM DDR5-7600 Kit. On the SPD page, we can see that the T-FORCE XTREEM DDR5-7600 uses SK Hynix memory chips and supports the latest Intel XMP 3.0 one-click overclocking technology.

T-FORCE XTREEM DDR5-7600 memory uses high-quality SK Hynix A-Die particles, which are one of the best particles currently used in high-frequency DDR5 memory. In addition, DDR5 memory also uses an advanced PMIC power supply module design, which has been transferred to the memory. In the past, this part was handled by the motherboard, but now the memory can manage the voltage by itself, thereby providing a better power supply environment and ensuring more stable operation.

In terms of performance, using AIDA64 to test T-FORCE XTREEM DDR5-7600 memory read and write, impressive results were observed at its default frequency of 5600 MHz with timings set to 46-46-46-90. The read speed reached 80,423 MB/s, while the write speed recorded a substantial 74,378 MB/s. Moreover, the copy speed achieved a notable 72,167 MB/s, showcasing its efficiency in data transfer. Notably, the latency was measured at a commendable 92.1 ns, reflecting the responsiveness of the memory module.

When XMP mode is enabled, you can choose between two frequency options: 6000MHz and 7600MHz.

First, let’s test the 6000 MHz (Profile 2) in XMP mode. The timing is set to 38-38-38-78. At this configuration, the reading speed reaches 87,662MB/s, and the writing speed is 79,787MB/s. The copy speed registers at 78,703MB/s, with latency dropping to 81.3ns.

After setting the manual overclock to 6800 MHz, the timing is set to 36-47-47-84, and the read and write performance saw significant improvements, reaching 98.208 MB/s and 85,508 MB/s, respectively, with a latency of 79.8ns. For most gamers, 6800 MHz offers a stable and high-performance option, ensuring a smooth and responsive gaming experience.

Then the XMP was changed to 7600 MHz (Profile 1) for testing, and the results were even more surprising. The reading speed reached 118.03 GB/s, the writing speed was 115.08 GB/s, the copying speed was 113.01 GB/s, and the latency dropped to 58.2 ns. Comparing the test results, it is clear that when this pair of memories runs at 7600 MHz, the reading, writing, and copying performance greatly improves, and the latency further reduces. There is basically no pressure when running software and playing games.

Don’t think that 7600 MHz is the limit of T-FORCE XTREEM DDR5 memory. After pushing the manual overclock to 8000 MHz, performance sees a significant boost, with read speeds reaching 127.89 GB/s and write speeds hitting 127.17 GB/s. Copy speeds also peak at 120,42 GB/s, while latency drops to 53.9ns.

During the AIDA64 test, enabling XMP mode rather than sticking with default settings leads to significant enhancements in various performance metrics. Memory read, write, and copy speeds all show substantial improvements, accompanied by a notable reduction in latency. These findings highlight the exceptional performance capabilities of the T-FORCE XTREEM DDR5-7600 MHz.

The T-FORCE XTREEM DDR5-7600 memory module demonstrates impressive performance across various configurations. At its default frequency of 5600 MHz, it delivers solid read, write, and copy speeds, along with commendable latency. The front of the box showcases a sketch of the keyboard along with the brand name and model, maintaining a clean and simple design aesthetic. The back of the box provides a list of features and brief characteristics of the keyboard.

When you open the box, you can see that in addition to the keyboard, there are also a bunch of practical accessories, including a 2.4G wireless receiver, USB-C cable, steel wire key puller & shaft puller, and manual.

The keyboard comes with a robust, gray USB-C cable measuring approximately 1,880mm in length. This cable features elegant aluminum connectors and includes a stylish yellow PU leather cable tie, enhancing the overall premium aesthetic of the keyboard. The generous length of the cable ensures that you can comfortably use the keyboard in a wired setup, even if your cable management system is intricate and extensive.

The EpoMaker DynaTab 75X, in its 75% format, features 84 keys with hot-swap capability, allowing users to customize it with one of several switch types: Wisteria (Linear), Wisteria (Tactile), Flamingo, or Sea Salt Silent. It comes in either ANSI or ISO-UK layouts and is available for pre-purchase in two color schemes: Black Gray and Purple White.

Before diving into this review, it’s important to note that the keyboard we received is a prototype version, and therefore does not represent the final product. Our unit is the full-black version with side-printed keycaps and Wisteria Tactile switches.

Design

The layout of the EpoMaker DynaTab 75X keyboard closely resembles that of any standard 75% keyboard but tends to lean more towards a tenkeyless (TKL) design. Weighing in at 1,054 grams, the 75X is average in weight for mechanical keyboards in its category. Aside from that, the DynaTab appears quite ordinary. The build quality is solid, with no creaks or groans when I applied slight pressure to the keyboard. Even as a prototype, the keyboard feels well-made and highly polished, with no noticeable glitches or quirks in its operation.

The dimensions are 145 x 181 x 42 mm, with a typical width but an increased depth of approximately 45 mm due to the display. The keyboard has a height of 42 mm with the feet retracted, which can be adjusted to 50 mm or 57 mm using its two-position feet.

The back of the keyboard is quite plain, with the exception of the indents located at the bottom. It features five rubber feet that ensure the keyboard stays securely in place on the desk. Additionally, it includes two dual-stage kickstands that allow for easy height adjustment.

The top right part of the keyboard features several options, including a tri-mode connectivity switch that allows users to alternate between USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth modes. Additionally, there’s a ‘bulb’ switch for cycling through stored LED custom animations. A standout feature of the EPOMAKER DynaTab 75X is its exceptional connectivity versatility.

Notably, the keycaps lack labels on the top surface; instead, the see-through labels are positioned on the front surface. This design choice is polarizing, as it will likely be either well-liked or disliked by users.

Unlike some other popular mechanical keyboard brands like Keychron, which often feature heavier cases, the DynaTab 75X boasts a lighter build. However, it is important to note that the software currently seems to be available only for PC users, with no clear indication of a macOS version. The app itself is user-friendly and quickly recognizes the connected keyboard, streamlining the customization process. I successfully reprogrammed the Print Screen (PS) and Scroll Lock (SL) keys to function as volume controls, highlighting the ease and practicality of the software’s key remapping capabilities.

In terms of screen customization, the software permits the loading of images or GIFs onto the dot matrix display, though the results may vary. For example, when attempting to upload a PNG of the Gadgeteer logo, the image appeared significantly pixelated. Despite this, the software allows for creative experimentation; I managed to draw a basic representation of the XiaomiToday logo and added a second frame in a different color to produce a simple animation. Although the software includes an option to download pre-made animations, there currently appears to be a lack of specific animations available for the DynaTab 75x, limiting immediate out-of-the-box functionality in this regard.

USE Experience

I’ve been spending the last few weeks immersed in gaming, navigating various titles with a mouse and keyboard setup due to the lack of controller support. This shift from my usual preference for controllers has highlighted the inherent discomfort of prolonged keyboard use, a sentiment many gamers can relate to. However, the EpoMaker DynaTab 75X has significantly mitigated this issue. The keyboard’s ergonomic design and responsive keys have made extended gaming sessions more bearable. However, there are no additional details or specification data included. Only the model and color are indicated on the side corners. In this unboxing, we have the white version of the O11D EVO XL.

Within the packaging, the housing is shielded by two foam pads, ensuring its safe arrival to the buyer intact, even without additional outer packaging. The accessories are contained in a small box, housing various components including a graphics card support bracket, double-layer cable management buckle, air duct baffle, Lianli nameplate, a small box of sorted screws and buckles, cable ties, and installation instructions. Additionally, it includes 3 magnetic gauze dust-proof nets as a standard feature, enhancing its dust-proof capabilities.

Designed to accommodate E-ATX motherboards and CPU water cooling setups, it promises remarkable functionality. Furthermore, it inherits the versatile feature from its predecessor, the O11D EVO, enabling seamless switching between left and right modes, ensuring convenience for users.

The O11D EVO XL boasts a striking 4mm thick glass panel on its left side, contributing to its considerable presence. The top fan rack features a modular, removable design, accommodating up to 3×140/120mm fans, while the bottom and side fan racks mirror this convenient setup.

Installation

Before diving into assembling the hardware, consider the optimal placement of the case on your desk and whether you prefer water or air cooling for your system. Lian Li presents the O11 Dynamic EVO XL in two color options, offering versatility through its modular design. By swapping the left and right side walls, as well as the case base and cover, you can achieve an inverted layout. This unique feature allows you to view your installed hardware from both the left and right sides of the case, ensuring an optimal viewing experience.

We start by removing the motherboard tray to make things easier. This enables the seamless installation of the CM-CPU-GPU assembly outside the case, which can then be reinserted in one swift motion. While removing four front-hand screws may seem a minor inconvenience, we offset it with a user-friendly tool-free system for the PCIe slots. Additionally, adjusting the support’s height is a breeze—simply reposition the brackets at the bottom and top to move it up or down by 3.5 cm as needed. This ensures a smooth and efficient setup experience.

After completing the installation, ventilation supports are removed from the top and side to accommodate the blower. We opted for Six Uni Fan SL-Infinity 120 ARGB Fans, with a configuration of 3 fans each on the top and bottom. Additionally, the GALAHAD II LCD 360 SL-INF AIO Liquid Cooler was effortlessly installed on the side. All mounts are designed to be compatible with either 360 or 420mm radiators, ensuring flexibility and ease of use.

With the upright GPU bracket, you have the flexibility to install your GPU outside the case and easily reposition it when needed. Thanks to the side bracket, you can choose whether to have the GPU ports at the top or bottom. Additionally, a separate PCIe riser cable, 900mm in length, ensures ample space for efficient cable management. Installing the graphics card on the side enables the addition of three fans at the back, optimizing heat dissipation by directing airflow directly onto the GPU backplane.

Installing the components proves to be remarkably convenient with easy access from all sides within the case. The provided loops and covers facilitate smooth cable management, aided by the included cable ties. Removing the 3.5″ HDD cases further optimizes space utilization. However, an intriguing visual effect is created by the ARGB illumination between the left side and the side panel glass, effectively producing the illusion of an additional ARGB light bar on the right. Testing and Performance

Cooling and AirFlow

Let’s delve into the cooling capabilities of the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO XL Full Tower Case. Testing it with an Intel® Core™ i7-13700K Processor on an MSI MPG Z690 FORCE WIFI DDR5 motherboard, and an ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 OC Edition graphics card reveals promising results. Even at idle, with a room temperature of 28°C, the processor maintains a steady temperature of around 47°C. Effective thermal management is essential to ensure peak performance and longevity of PC components.

After a 10-minute continuous FPU Stress Test on AIDA64, the Intel® Core™ i7-13700K Processor maintained a stable temperature of 69°C, with a core temperature of 85°C. The P core operated steadily at 4.8Hz, while the E core remained at 3.9GHz. No downclocking occurred during the test, indicating acceptable CPU temperature performance. The GPU temperature was held at a favorable 66°C.

In addition to lowering the maximum temperature, the capability of this system also lies in greater heat dissipation efficiency. After reducing the load on the CPU and graphics card, the temperatures of the CPU and graphics card drop off a cliff in a few seconds.

Overall, The heat dissipation performance of the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO XL impresses, effectively managing the thermal demands of mid-to-high-end hardware with proficiency.

During regular use, the entire PC build produces a mere 30 decibels of noise, a notable 3.4 decibels lower than its predecessor, rendering it virtually silent even during late-night sessions. Even under heavy load with cooling at maximum capacity, the noise level reaches only 41.5 decibels, a significant reduction from the previous case’s nearly 60 decibels.
